Why the Trek Talks Exist

Men are suffering, today!

We have more information than any previous generation, yet fewer answers.

What is true manhood? How then should we live?

We have fathers, but we’re fatherless.

We have no one to guide us, so we turn to ai or videos.

And yet the answers leave us hollow and empty.

Men have tons of unanswered questions, like…

  • Who am I?
  • Why do I feel stuck?
  • Why am I left empty after achieving success?
  • What’s the point of life?
  • Why do I feel desperate?
  • Even feel like giving up?
  • What does following God actually look like?

We live in artificial, climate controlled worlds.

Our interactions with other men mostly occur on a device.

And we are lonely, isolated, cut off.

  • Like wildness, allies, conquerors, intimates.

What do we do with all that!?!

Characteristics

  • And adventure is not about sex.
  • But, we have to go there, too - not do’s and don’ts - but the design of male sexuality.
  • Plus, there’s something else out there lurking - hunting you:
  • You’ll have to fight to become the man God intends you to be.

And no one ever told you, either!

Restoration

  • Early on in boyhood things happened to you - to take you out of your true role.
  • We have to go find those things and undo them.
  • Because they’re keeping you from being all you are created to be.

Know this: healing leads to transformation.

Who Are We? What Are These Talks?

For 3 1/2 years George Black wrote and gave the original 12 Trek Talks to a 1,000+ men on a homeless campus.

The Trek Talks use first run movie clips, slides, and personal stories with actions to take.

These are talks for every man - no matter where you are on your Trek Life!
